Tired of Waiting

How many times have you given up on waiting? What’s the most difficult part when you wait? God has brought me into so many waiting seasons in my life, including now. Who would have thought I would once again be on this season of looking for work and waiting on the right opportunity for me? It’s tempting to worry and get ahead of God, settling for what’s easy.

But, I’ve experienced God’s faithfulness so many times already that this time, I can’t fret anymore. It’s really because of who He is and His grace that I can keep walking by faith.

More than looking forward to that day of Him providing me job, I’m just excited of what He is doing to my life in my day to day. That’s what is making my waiting more exciting – His daily presence in my life. I’m running, walking, waiting – but I’m not weary.

I hope that you find strength in Jesus always, whatever you are waiting for, entrust your life, your future, your today to Jesus. He’s got this. Just believe.

Yet those who wait for the Lord Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Greatest Reward

We can have everything in this world, but not until we have Jesus in our life that we will be able to say we have enough. He is our great reward. In Him alone, we can truly find satisfaction despite the ups and downs in our life. So don’t be discouraged. You don’t need to have everything. You only need the One who can truly give your life real purpose and meaning – JESUS.

“Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great.”

You are Famous!

I was reminded by the song of Francesca Battistelli, “He Knows My Name” of how precious we are in the eyes of God. There will always be those moments of doubts and insecurities that we can’t help ask if we are enough or what we have done will be enough for others. If you are in that moment right now, I hope that you will be encouraged that God is not after our performance. We don’t need fame, social status, wealth or position. We don’t need to prove ourselves to anyone.

God already fell in love  with you even before you were born. He had already set His eyes on you when you were just on your mother’s womb. He already knew you even before your first cry. And that’s what matters. I hope that you will remember that you are ALWAYS LOVED. And that’s why God sent Jesus for you (John 3:16). Because, God does not want you to be away from Him. You are that important!

Stop Trying

How’s your life recently? Has it been filled with joy and gratefulness? Or, has it been filled with disappointments and frustrations? Are you one of those who keeps trying so hard but still things don’t work out the way you want it to be?

I hear you, my friend. You are not alone in that journey. There are so many things in my life that I wish I can just take control. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work out that way. I have learned to live by faith and trust that I have a God who is all-knowing will not let me live a life of defeat. I have learned to surrender and let go.

The source of my disappointment and frustration was because of a wrong mindset. I focused on pleasing people and myself rather than pleasing God. I tried so hard to live up to my own and to other people’s standard that eventually crushed and broke me. It was an exhausting journey. I realized I was trying to make my life look better to others but deep inside, I was empty. I was trying to fill that emptiness from accomplishing things.

But God is so good and gracious. He picked me up and He gave me rest. God reminded me that there is nothing more I need to do because He got it. He got His Son Jesus to fill my emptiness. And indeed, it was the most effortless satisfaction I have received in my life. As I received Christ in my life, I still have disappointments and struggles but I also have joy and peace. I didn’t have to keep trying. Instead, I started living a life that God has intended me to live.

If you haven’t met Jesus, I would love to introduce you to Him. He is for real, that I’m sure about.

” I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” – Jesus (John 10:10)

STOP! Turn to GOD

It is so true that in the pursuit of pleasure, we chose to do so many things that damaged and hurt us. We chose to compromise that in the end, turned those temporary pleasures into deep wounds that are so painful to heal and leave us scars.

If you are in this situation, don’t lose hope. What’s amazing about God is He can turn those scars into something beautiful. The consequences maybe painful but God will carry you through if you stop and turn to Him. Turning to God and pursuing Him instead will give you a brand new start. It is never too late.

If you are in the verge of compromising, STOP! If you seek pleasure, seek God. He alone can give you pleasure and joy that will last. He alone can satisfy you. There are no regrets when you choose to obey and wait on God.

“For He has satisfied the thirsty soul, and the hungry soul He has filled with what is good.” Psalm 107:9
